Common questions
Is posset the same as panna cotta?
Not exactly! While both are creamy desserts, posset relies on the acidity from citrus juice to thicken, while panna cotta uses gelatin or a vegetarian alternative.
Why is my posset runny?
This usually happens if the mixture isn’t cooked long enough to thicken. Make sure you simmer it for 3-4 minutes after it starts boiling, and let it chill thoroughly to set.
Can I make this with other fruits?
Yes! Lemon or lime work beautifully, but avoid fruits with low acidity like berries, as they won’t thicken the same way.
How to store orange posset?
Store it in the refrigerator in an airtight container or covered moulds. It stays fresh for 2-3 days.
